LOCH LOMOND QUILT SHOW
This bit is a little emotional so if you just want to get down to the nitty gritty of the show go straight to www.lochlomondquiltshow.com and skip the following.
This is not my story alone, it is a story of the coming together of three ideas, three views and three sets of talent, of three women, Patricia Macindoe, Isabel Paterson and me. The Loch Lomond Quilt Show could never have been achieved by one person; each of us has brought our different gifts and energies to the show. It is and always will be a story of friendship and respect.
For all three of us it is also an example of three other partnerships, of three other sets of relationships. Our husbands, we’ve chalked up over 100 years of marriage between us ………Patricia and Alistair are in the lead, Isabel and Chris second and Richard and I trail with only 31 years together. Without their support and the support of our families, the show would not go ahead each year.
All three of us are founder members of Makepeace Quilters which started in my house over 12 years ago – still going strong, it now takes place in the studio each Wednesday night – you are all welcome to join us. So thanks to Rhona, Mary, Anita and Fiona, true friends.
